Nice to start off in the thick of things; Cally's already down on a planet, hiding in the woods from some federation guards
Handy that Cally can telepathically project a warning to Blake, who's brought his cooler. He always brings the beers.
Kosmic Kris@KosmicKris That's Villa's cool box!
President in exile Sarkoff drives by in red Bessie.
Kosmic Kris@KosmicKris Doesn't your heart just sing when you see it's TP McKenna?
The guards decide Blake and Cally are not rats and go to red alert.
Sarkoff arrives at his rather civilised 'prison'; the tower where he makes his home since going into exile.
Carinthia West (Tyce) screentested for Ursa for Superman the Movie, apparently.
Back on the Liberator, Jenna keeps things organised while Avon's outlook is typically pessimistic.
With the guards tracking their footprints now, Blake and Cally decide to get into Sarkoff's gaff through the back window.
The Liberator picks up a faint distress call, just outside of teleport range. Gan's keen to help, Avon is... Avon.
Gan goes over but the radio message they get back is someone imitating his voice. So who's teleporting aboard?
Vila doesn't like the sound of doing a personal investigation alone, so goes tooled up.
Blake makes it to the tower, where the antique-loving Sarkoff waxes lyrical about history.
Sarkoff gets some Bobby McFerrin on the gramophone when he suspects Blake is an assassin. As you do.
Tyce arrives and hold Blake at gunpoint; he tries to explain he wants to bring Sarkoff back to power...
Cally scales the tower just in time to evade the patrol.
Cally scales the tower just in time to evade the patrol.
Sarkoff explains how he was overthrown and the federation 'kindly' put him up here.
The Federation rigged the election and kept Sarkoff sweet to reinstall him at a later time as their puppet.

Blake distracts the guards...
...so Tyce and Cally can bring red Bessie round.
At the last minute they're teleported out of the moving red Bessie, which then crashes into the guards at the checkpoint.
Once aboard...
...Blake finally finds Jenna, wearing an odd collar and claiming the others are dead - then he's gassed by an unseen figure!
That would have been a cliffhanger in Doctor Who!
They've been hijacked by a bounty hunter, Tarvin, who's a former "associate" of Jenna's.

Vila works on Blake's collar, Avon gets to work on the lock with a tool he's craftily hidden in the heel of his shoe.
Jenna tries to make Tarvin a better offer than the Federation, playing to his greed.
Jenna pretends to consider his offer of 1 million credits, then beats the crap out of her guard and nicks his gun.
"You'd sell your grandmother, wouldn't you?"
"I did! *She* was going to sell *me*, I got in first!"
"I didn't know you cared, Avon."
"He didn't, and he was right!"
Jenna takes out another guard, while Vila disables Blake's collar and Avon opens the door. It's all coming up Blake's 7.
A bit of intrigue as Tyce gets the drop on Tarvin... but not for long.
Blake arrives to distract Tarvin, and Sarkoff gets his shot off.
The Liberator and its crew leg it to fight another day.
Sarkoff puts on his best Pertwee cloak and cocked hat to go home and take up the reigns of power, and all's well that ends well for Blake's 7!
TTFN! K.
Coming Soon... Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
