8th Doctor: Season Seven (2007)

Blood of the Daleks
is a fantastic start to a new era of the 8th Doctor's audio adventures & a confident introduction for Lucie. Not convinced it really needs to be 2 parts but it gives us space for a great guest cast,1 of the best companions in audio (honourable mention for Evelyn Smythe) & McGann finally firing on all cylinders.
Red Rocket Rising is a truly awful name for a planet but other than that & the so-so setting,  is light years ahead of practically all of McGann's previous audio adventures bar 8/10 for

Horror of Glam Rock
is rollicking fun; the 1hr eps serve well & Lucie continues to impress. Also Cribbens & Stubbs: brilliant. 8.5/10

Immortal Beloved
is much better than I remember, nice meaty moral stuff 4McGann to get his teeth in2; good use of greek gods. 8/10

Phobos
is the weakest of the 1st Lucie series; an interesting hook as with all this series but all very forgettable. 6.5/10

No More Lies
starts confusingly but ends touchingly; another great cast & the headhunter finally catches up with Lucie. 6.5/10

Human Resources
rounds off the 1st season of "New 8th Doctor Adventures" with a 2part finale that has a cheeky Office ripoff submerged within a more sci-fi setting that sees Roy Marsden put in a star villain turn before the Cybermen turn up and do not a lot.
